Dallas Professional Women Stand Tall & Take Action Against the Epidemic of Gun Violence

[Dallas, Texas]

Today, our hearts are heavy as we grapple with the aftermath of a senseless act of violence that unfolded in our community. The recent mass shooting has left our community shattered.

We are asking our members, vendors, partners, and extended community to rise as one and support each other with unwavering strength and compassion. We cannot afford to remain silent or passive in the face of such tragedy.

Now is the time for us to take action, to come together and forge a path towards a safer and more inclusive society. We owe it to ourselves, our children, and the memory of those we've lost.

As a community-focused organization, with action-oriented members, here is a suggested list of call to action for our resilient community:

Let us wrap our arms around the victims and their families, offering comfort and support in any way we can. Extend a helping hand, lend an ear, and show them that they are not alone. Together, we can help heal their wounds and restore hope.

CUTX continues to stand with the people of Allen and surrounding communities during this challenging time.

Stand tall against the epidemic of gun violence that plagues our nation. It is our responsibility to actively support organizations and initiatives dedicated to preventing such horrific incidents. Reach out to local representatives, demanding stronger gun control measures and comprehensive mental health support systems. Let our voices echo loudly until the change becomes an undeniable reality. [Join fellow Collin County parents on a trip to the State Capitol on Monday, May 15, to meet with our State Representative and State Senator]

In our community, diversity is our strength. Let us foster inclusivity, understanding, and acceptance for all individuals. Embrace the richness of our differences and celebrate the unique contributions each person brings to our tapestry of life. Together, we can build a community where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

Mental health matters, and we must prioritize it. Break the silence surrounding mental health issues, encouraging open conversations and ensuring access to the support and resources needed. Let us eradicate the stigma that prevents so many from seeking help, and extend a hand to those who are struggling. Together, we can foster a culture of empathy and support. [If you are impacted by suffering through PTSD, anxiety or triggered please contact your health care provider, employee assistance program (EAP) and/or mental health outlets for support]

Stay informed, engaged, and proactive in matters of community safety. Attend town hall meetings, participate in discussions about crime prevention, and stay updated on initiatives that aim to keep us safe. By staying vigilant and working together, we can implement effective solutions that safeguard our community from such devastating tragedies. [Learn about local initiatives to combat gun violence]

As we embark on this journey of healing, let us hold the memories of the victims close to our hearts. Through our actions, we can transform our grief into a powerful force for change.

Together, we will build a community that shines with resilience, compassion, and a commitment to prevent future acts of violence.

With Love & Hope,
