How did it start? 

Dallas Professional Women (DPW) was a spark spearheaded by International Talk Show Host & Media Personality Amber Jamshed of Houston (HPW) with the help of Local Award-Winning Entrepreneur, Business Advisor & Philanthropist Irum Jones. Both Jamshed and Jones were committed to connecting women professionals from all industries to encourage fellowship, friendships & business referrals by promoting cross-collaboration between all members.

Through positive interactions, the community quickly gained global support with all members having access to business referrals, business tools, advocacy, awareness and education to all! DPW provides a platform and culture of collaboration instead of competition which is the reason why so many Young Entrepreneurs, Business Owners, Women-Owned, Women-Led organizations, Women professionals and brands that support women and initiatives important to women continue to join our community!

Our Community Is Not a Social Club

Dallas Professional Women is not built around casual networking or surface-level conversation.
We are a working community, grounded in execution, accountability, and outcomes.

We hold masterminds, strategic roundtables, curated industry innovation meetups, hands-on workshops, marketing labs, and revenue-generating experiences designed to support businesses at every critical stage of growth.

We have a deep commitment to startups and scaling businesses, especially those navigating the chaos of operating without systems, or the complexity that comes from outgrowing the ones they built too early. This is often the most fragile and defining phase of a business, and we meet it with structure, clarity, and experienced support.

Our Advisory Council

Our Advisory Council is composed of women who serve on a fractional, hands-on level. This is not theory or abstract guidance. These women step in, assess, build, and execute alongside our community bringing real-world experience, operational discipline, and accountability to the table.

We have intentionally brokered relationships with top global coaches, advisors, and operators who serve this community to help businesses scale. Whether that means scaling revenue, strengthening reputation, improving reviews, or building the internal infrastructure required for sustainable growth. We talk about business because we understand its role in sustaining our lives, our families, and our livelihoods. Business funds stability, generosity, and long-term impact — and we treat it with the respect it deserves. This is a community built on substance over spectacle, collaboration over competition, and progress rooted in action.

How do we achieve a Sisterhood between all industries & generations? 

Inclusion is not a buzzword for us - it is a daily practice. We are deeply intentional about creating, nurturing, and sustaining an environment where women feel seen, respected, and supported.

At our gatherings, every detail is designed to ensure that each person feels genuinely welcomed & valued. We celebrate the everyday woman,  those who juggle multiple priorities while continuously surprising us with the impact they create and the paths they have trailblazed.

Our programming is thoughtfully curated to be cross-generational, relevant, and accessible.
